Wow, what a start to spring!
I wasn't planning much with only a few months left of my junior year of college. This semester was probably my hardest one yet and the least creative I've felt in a while. I had a few college friends ask about me doing their cap and gown photos back in the fall so I was looking forward to getting my creative brain working again. As I edited and sent out the photos, I had more people asking for sessions. In total, I ended up doing 6 cap and gown sessions this spring for both college and high school graduates. I got to play around and try new things while also getting back to my creative groove with the camera. Here is a peek into each session I did!
Natalie
spring arbor university '23
Natalie was my first session of the season. We met halfway through our freshman year, but she was able to graduate in three years (you go girl). We found one nice evening between the cold (even snowy) April days and got them done. Love how they turned out!
Lauren
Spring arbor University '23
Lauren was the second session I did. It was a pretty evening, but the sun became a little difficult with harsh shadows. We were walking around and I looked back at her and said, "Wait, stop right here!" and got this beautiful shot of her. So pretty!
Savanah
Spring arbor university '23
Savanah was my third session on campus. The trees were at the end of blossoming and so I had to make sure we got some shots with them. Sav made my night super easy because she just naturally knew what to do and how to pose. I loved working with her!
Megan
University of Toledo '23
Megan's session was a nice change of scenery. I took her youngest sister's high school grad photos last year and so it was a ton of fun getting to do her photos on UT's campus!
Lilli
Spring arbor university '23
Lilli was my final session at Spring Arbor and final college grad session. She had me laughing and smiling the whole time and made the evening super fun! I'll miss seeing this curly-haired girl on campus next year.
Lydia
Blissfield High School '23
Lydia was my solo high school graduate for the spring. I took her senior photos last summer and was so happy to do her cap and gown photos. I actually graduated from the same high school back in 2020 so it was fun capturing some familiar scenes!

If you have made it this far, thank you! I had so much fun doing these sessions this spring and working with so many amazing people. I look forward to next year and where the rest of this year takes me.
